Oversized Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 tablespoons (1.5 sticks) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 cup packed brown sugar (light or dark)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg, plus 1 large egg yolk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 bag semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or spray with nonstick cooking spray. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in medium bowl; set aside. Mix butter and all sugars until thoroughly blended. Beat in egg, yolk, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and beat at low speed until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Roll dough into balls using a scant 1/4 cup for each ball. Place them 2.5 inches apart on baking sheets. Bake 15-18 minutes, cool on baking sheets.

These are super good and turn out beautiful.
