Feta Tomato-Basil Tilapia

I adapted this from a recipe in the Taste of Home cookbook and it turned out really yummy and I'm not usually a fish person. Enjoy!

1/3 C. chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1 can (14.5 oz) Diced tomatoes, drained
1-1/2 tsp. minced fresh basil (or 1/2 tsp. dried basil)
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
4 tilapia fillets (or other white fish)
4 oz. crumbled feta cheese

Cooked pasta of your choice
Balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper
olive oil

**Notes: I used Gorgonzola cheese since I didn't have feta and it was still fabulous. I also used a can of diced tomatoes that came with basil and oregano already in it**

1. In a saucepan, saute onion and garlic in oil until tender. Add tomatoes and basil. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.
2. Sprinkle fish with salt and pepper to your liking then broil 4-6 in. from heat until they are almost done (about 5 minutes). Remove from oven and top with tomato mixture and sprinkle with cheese. Return to oven and cook until the meat flakes easily with a fork
3. Toss your pasta in a saucepan or wok with a little olive oil and Balsamic vinegar to taste. Serve the fish over a bed of the pasta.
