Banana Bread

I got this banana bread recipe from one of my best friends in high school, way back then. It has been my favorite recipe for banana bread and banana muffins ever since. They are delicious.

2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3-4 bananas, mashed
2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
1 pinch of salt
1 T. lemon
3 T. sour cream
1 c. nuts (optional)
Bake 350° in a loaf pan for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. I actually prefer to make this as small loaves (about 40 minutes) or banana muffins (about 18 minutes). You can also make mini muffins (11-12 minutes).
