ALL YOU NEED:
INDIVIDUALLY PACKAGED MANDARIN ORANGE CUPS
A PERMANENT MARKER
OK, this might not really be a recipe, but I did have a light bulb moment. My daughter's kindergarten class is having a Halloween themed "healthy" snack time at school. I was put in charge of fruit. I could not think of anything that would be age appropriate and not a huge mess for them to eat. (I love her teacher and wouldn't do that to her). So, when I was packing my kids' lunches this morning, I got my great idea.... "ta-da" Mandarin oranges and a sharpie!

What a great idea...I hope you don't mind I added it to my pintrest board for use later on...never know when I might need some easy Halloween ideas thanks Frances
I love this idea! I was needing to come up with a healthy snack for my daughter's Halloween party too! I'm totally doing this! :)
Thanks so much. Such a cute idea and can't wait to try it this year for my daughters class.
This is fabulous! There's enough candy and sweets during the month of October. I love that this is festive AND healthy. I'll be making these for a Halloween lunch next month. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thanks for the great idea! We have a girl in our preschool that's diabetic and I was trying to think of something that she could have for our harvest party and that everyone else could have too. I'm going to check with her mom tonight and see if she likes oranges! :)
One of those "why didn't I think of that" items. So simple and perfect!
What a great and adorable idea!
We will be featuring this fun idea on our blog Regarding Nannies tomorrow! www.regardingnannies.com
I want to give these away at the Trunk or Treat at our Church. My Husband thinks Parents might throw them away because of tampering concerns.
Any Thoughts?
Thank you so much for sharing this clever, healthy treat. I've featured a link to your post in today's "Halloween Meals" post on my blog so that others can stop by and enjoy your creativity too.
The Dole company should give you credit for that!:) Brilliant idea!
So simple and yet so smart! I just added a link to this idea on a post I wrote about candy alternatives for trick or treaters. Thanks for such a great idea!
